Dr. Randall Ow s the President and Chief Medical Officer of DaVinci Research. Dr. Ow’s interest in research began during his undergraduate education at the University of Hawaii, where he was a research assistant at Kewalo Marine Laboratory. He went on to complete a research internship at UC Berkeley before entering medical school in Maryland through an Air Force scholarship program. After complaining a general surgery internship at Travis AFB, he was deployed oversees as a flight surgeon and general medical officer. He was the director of Emergency services at the 8th Medical Group, Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea and then served as a flight surgeon to the 31st Pararescue squadron in Okinawa, Japan. During that time he assisted on several humanitarian missions to Honduras and Thailand. Upon return to the states, he completed a residency in otolaryngology in San Antonio, Texas. He served 4 years as Chief of Otolaryngology at the 18th Medical Group in  Anchorage, Alaska where he was voted ‘Physician of the Year’ by his colleagues. He was honorably discharged from the Airforce after 17 years of service at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. In 2002,  he and his wife, Dr. Jackie Ho, planted roots in Sacramento. At the time he joined Sacramento ENT, where he currently maintains a full-time clinical practice fulfilling his greatest passion of providing excellent patient. care. It was at Sacramento ENT that he rekindled his research interests by working with numerous medical devices and pharmaceutical companies. To date, Dr. Ow has been an investigator in over 30 research trials. He has published dozens of articles  and is highly working as a highly respected clinical  researcher in the ENT world. Dr Ow is also committed to the education of future leaders healthcare, working as clinical professor at the California Northstate School of Medicine and a volunteer faculty member for the physician assistant program at UC Davis School of Nursing. In his (very limited) spare time, you can find Dr. Ow spending time with his wife and four children.
